Huddersfield Mission is a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) No 1156590. We were registered on the 8th April 2014 and took over the day to day management of the Mission building and activities on the 1st September 2014.
We provide community and support services in the heart of Huddersfield.
As a faith based organisation our work seeks to embody the values of community and solidarity, openness and trust, justice and accountability, compassion and generosity, learning and discovery, all of which reflect the values of God’s kingdom. We recognise and welcome the fact that many people, from a variety of faith perspectives and none, share these values.
Huddersfield Mission seeks to be both an open and inclusive organisation and venue, and also one that encourages people to see others and the local community through the values that underpin our work.
Huddersfield Mission is run by a Board. The Board Members are a mix of people nominated by the local Methodist Circuit and independent appointments
Huddersfield Mission recognises and values the fact that its roots lie in the Methodist Church and that it continues to be connected to the Huddersfield Methodist Circuit. We welcome staff, volunteers and friends from a variety of faith perspectives and none.
