Barratt Developments donates Christmas party fund to Huddersfield Mission
Local homebuilder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire West is supporting Huddersfield Mission by donating some money from its Christmas party fund. The charity is one of six being supported across the region.
As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, many workplaces have cancelled their Christmas celebrations this year. Barratt Developments Yorkshire West took the decision to use it’s end of the year party budget to help charities supporting those in need this festive season.
A £750 donation from both Barratt Group and Barratt Developments Yorkshire West has enabled the homebuilder to donate £1,500 to Huddersfield Mission to aid in supporting the organisation’s work in providing food and support to those who need it most.
On the donations Managing Director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, Ian Ruthven commented: “We are really pleased to have been able to use the money that would have gone towards our Christmas party to support these six very deserving charities in West Yorkshire. This year we have seen how important it is to support charities when we can, to ensure they can continue doing the valuable work that they do.”
Paul Bridges, from Huddersfield MIssion, said: “We are so grateful that Barratt Developments Yorkshire West donated their Christmas party fund to help support vulnerable people this Christmas. We rely on the kindness and generosity of the community, and this is a really wonderful Christmas gift. After a year that has been so difficult for everyone, we are once again humbled at the generosity of people for others”
